I’m writing a review about the TV series “The Lying Game”. The show follows Emma Becker (Alexandra Chando), a lovely foster kind with a terrible foster mother and brother. She finds out that she has an identical twin sister, Sutton Penelope Mercer (also played by Alexandra Chando), who unlike Emma was adopted by wealthy parents and seems to live the perfect life. At their arranged meeting, Sutton persuades Emma to change identities for a few days, so that Sutton could go to Los Angeles to look for their birth mother. When Sutton doesn’t come back at the arranged time, Emma goes on pretending to be her. They find out that everything about their birth mother seems to be a huge secret.

The show includes two seasons with altogether thirty episodes. I have been watching the first season so far and all I can say is that it’s totally addictive. People who like “Pretty Little Liars” will adore that show. It’s exciting, mysterious and of course it includes a love story. I can’t wait to watch it until the end.

So I’m also watching “The Lying Game” because of Maria’s recommendation and after finishing the fifth episode I actually have to say that Maria is totally right about becoming addictive! This series is extremely good and has amazing plots, although I haven’t watched a lot so far. Thus I’m truly digging this. So what are you waiting for? “The Lying Game” is definitely worth watching!

I’m writing a review about the TV series “Once upon a time”. Once Upon a Time is a fairy tale drama series that takes place in the fictional town Storybrooke. The people who live in Storybrooke are characters from different fairytales that were transported to the “real world”. They don’t know anything about their past lives, because the Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) used a powerful curse to destroy all of their memories. The people of Storybrooke have lived there for 28 years without aging. The town’s only hope is Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) the daughter of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), who was transported from the fairy tale world before she could be cursed. She is the only person who can break the curse and bring back the characters past lives. Emma’s son Henry (Jared S. Gilmore), who she gave up for adoption ten years ago searches for her, because he is aware of the curse and the fact that Emma can change everything. But not everything is that easy, because the Evil Queen is the mayor of the town and also Henry’s adoptive mother and she won’t stop at nothing to chase Emma away from Storybrooke.

The series includes three seasons so far with altogether 48 episodes. I watched every episode and I am completely addicted. In Austria the show is only shown on SuperRTL and I think that is the reason why hardly anyone knows it here. My advice is to watch it in English, because it feels way more real. If you are a fan of fairytales and mystical stories, Once upon a time is just the right show for you.

I have also seen the beginning of these TV series. I really liked it! But the fact that i hadn’t so much time to look it every week, let me stop whatching the series.
I think i should start looking it up again.
Thank you for your advice, i will whatch it in English when i can find an internet portal which offers it to me.

I want to give you a small review of the TV series „Gossip Girl“. There are 6 seasons with 18 up to 25 episodes each.

The series is about Manhattans high society at the Upper East Side. The „Gossip Girl“ posts the newest rumors on her website and is the teller of the story. Especially the four friends Serena, Blair, Nate and Chuck are mentioned at her website. The life of these teenagers turns round parties, drugs, alcohol, sex and a lot of other problems.
The series starts with the return of Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), after she left New York a year ago. The reason for her disappearance was that she slept with Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), the boyfriend of her best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). Serena and Blair have an „Up-and-down“ friendship through the whole series, because they have always a reason to dispute. Another story line in the series is the romance between Blair and Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick). Apart from that high society there are the Humphrey‘s, a family that lives in Brooklyn, which also play an important roll in the story.

I‘ve watched now four Episodes and just started the 5th and i really love Gossip Girl. My advice is also to watch the series in English, because the feeling of the story is much better than in German. I recommend Gossip Girl to everybody who likes love stories and dramas.

I also watched “Gossip Girl” and immediately got addicted. Some days I didn’t do anything else because I just couldn’t stop watching it. I have to admit I’m kind of a series junkie.

In addition to Nina’s review, I have to say that “Gossip Girl” reveals itself in the sixth season and for me it was totally surprising, because I always thought it was someone else.

In my opinion Gossip Girl is a stereotype of a “girly series”, because it’s all about Serena and Blair, two beautiful, rich girls who usually get everything they want.
And who wouldn’t want to be a “Serena Van der Woodsen” for once? 😉

I’d like to present you “Supernatural”, it’s a brilliant mystery series about two brothers who lost their mother when they were little. In fact, their mother was killed by a demon and now Sam and Dean are hunting these yukky demons.
I’ve just watched about 8 episodes from the 1st season and I really really really love it. So far, there are 9 seasons with about 22 episodes each and there will be another season, but I don’t know for sure when it will be published.
Since I haven’t got much time I can’t give you a super cool review, but I have a pretty funny video for you. Check it out, it’s hilarious.

P.S.: If you’re in this mystery stuff, then you will fall in love by just watching the first episode.

It must be admitted that I am not a real mistery series fan, but your review about “Supernatural” seems really exciting.
I think that I will check it briefly.
    Thanks for your review.

This comment seems long overdue. For those who don’t know the series yet, I’d like to introduce you to “Shadowhunters”, which is a TV adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s popular “Mortal Instruments” books. It’s a fantasy series you can watch on Netflix and Freeform and you should go and start binging on it immediately! If you like vampires, werewolves, demons and a sexy cast, this series will totally float your boat. A couple of years ago there was also a screen adaptation of the first book, “City of Bones”. Unfortunately, the movie was a box office flop, therefore subsequent movies didn’t even make it to the drawing board. However, Hollywood didn’t reckon with the book series’ wide fanbase who called for more. It soon became clear that Cassandra Clare’s shadow world of passionate romance and crazy action would be better fitted for the TV screen and the young Netflix generation. The result is the series “Shadowhunters”. While the first season was a quite confusing, the second one was more coherent and thrilling, and I utterly enjoyed it. You can clearly see the legacy of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, although it still lacks Buffy’s quirkiness and hilarious humor. But you definitely get an abundance of monsters, character shipping (also gay characters), and shockingly gorgeous young adults fighting for a better world. If you are, however, a die-hard fan of the books, be warned: the producers have made a LOT of changes. I think you should see the series as something entirely separate from the books, and if you do, you’ll love it!

Oh and just for the record:
